Building Confidence and Skills with Manipulatives for Special Needs Students
MathBuilders focuses on developing problem-solving abilities, a vital skill that children need throughout their lives. I believe in training children to think critically and solve problems, using math as a tool to enhance their cognitive abilities.
I understand the importance of nurturing your child's numerical senses, including numbers, quantities, shapes, space, and logic.
In this class, for students with dyslexia, aged 5 and up, we focus on developing essential phonics skills, improving reading comprehension, and enhancing auditory memory.
I use a multisensory approach to teach regular word recognition, sound blending, and spelling strategies. I also provide short text reading exercises, oral retelling activities, and spatial font materials for better visual perception.
